When a Decode user extends an invitation for you to join the platform, you'll receive an email from the address hello@getdecode.io. This article is designed to walk you through the step-by-step process of signing up using the invite link provided in the email.

Steps

Step 1: Open the mail you received for the invite and click the "Sign Up" button. In the mail, you will find other information like the user who invited you, Workspace name, Organization name and steps to proceed further.

💡 You will find the invite mail in your inbox. In case you don't find it there, kindly check your spam folder.

Step 2: Once you click on the "Sign Up" button, you will be redirected to the Decode's sign-up page. Your email id will be automatically added to the form. You will need to create a password.

After successfully adding the details, click the "Send Verification Code" button.

Step 3: Once done, you will receive a verification code in the same email ID. Please enter the code and click on the verify button.

Step 4: After successful verification, you will be directed to the sign-in page, where you can log in using the same email ID and the password you created.

Steps for Accessing Dashboard

Dashboard/Homepage is the first screen to appear when you log in to the platform; below are the steps for accessing it:

Step 1: Go to the https://getdecode.io/login

Step 2: Sign in using your email ID, Google or Microsoft single sign-on.

Step 3: Click on “Login” to sign in to Decode.

Step 4: After successful login, you will be taken to the Dashboard/Homepage of decode, which showcases your “Meetings”, “Collections”, and “Recently Accessed” media.

Using Teams in Decode, you can manage your internal groups and control access to data. Here are the steps involved in creating a Team:

Step 1: Once you log into your Decode account, you will be directed to your home page.

Step 2: One the left side of the page, you’ll find the menu bar. Click on it and you will be presented with a list of options. From there, you can select the Settings option.

Step 3: From Settings, you will be taken to the Teams tab.

Step 4: By default, your parent organization will be created. When you hover your mouse pointer over the card, you will find a "+" icon and a pencil icon. You can create a child organization by clicking on the "+" icon.

Step 5: A form will be shown and you can fill in the details to create an organization.

  • Active status: You can choose to do your organization while creating it or leave it in the inactive state and do it later.
  • Logo: You can upload the desired logo for your organization.
  • Title: You can input the name of your organization.
  • Users: You can select the users you want to add to the new organization.

Step 6: Click on the save button.

Once you click on the save button, the organization will be created and shown in the organization structure.

  • Admin: Has full control over the platform, including managing access and permissions.
  • Manager: Has limited access compared to the Admin, with certain restricted capabilities.
  • Viewer: Can only view content on the platform without the ability to perform any actions.
  • Auditor: Can view the content and edit with certain restricted capabilities.

You can invite multiple users at once by clicking on the "+" button on the form.

Step 4: Click on the invite button. An invite will be sent to the user via email. After accepting the invitation, the user will be added to the specified home team.

💡Note: You can now resend invite to users who were invited to Decode but hadn't signed up on the platform.

Step 2: Locate the "What's New" button positioned at the bottom of the banner on the right side. It stands out and serves as a gateway to the latest updates and features.

Step 4: Once you are on the "Ideas" page, you will find the list of ideas posted by other users. You can upvote any idea if you think it is useful for the improvement of the product.

To add your ideas click on the "+Add an Idea" button.

Step 5: A form will open for adding the details. Provide as much detail as possible to help the product team understand your idea. Once you have finished writing your idea, click on the "Submit" button.

Step 2: On the signup page, you can choose to create your account with your Email ID, Google account, Microsoft account, LinkedIn or Amazon account.

Step 3: To set up your workspace with Email, please enter your email address and create a password. Then click on the "Send Verification Code" button; you will receive a verification code on your mentioned email ID.

Step 4: Enter the verification code and agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.

Step 5: Once the code is verified, you can set up your workspace name. A workspace can be defined as your virtual space for conducting research. Also, choose the data centre from the dropdown based on the nearest region to your location. And click on "Create Workspace".

Step 6: After successfully adding your workspace details, you will be redirected to the login page to initiate the sign-in process. Enter the workspace that you have created and click on Submit.

Step 7: Now, you can sign in using the credentials created by you.

Step 8: Once you have logged in, you will arrive on the homepage/dashboard of the Decode platform.

Step 8: Now, you can sign in using the credentials created by you.

How to sign up using Invite Link?

Overview

When a Decode user extends an invitation for you to join the platform, you'll receive an email from the address hello@getdecode.io. This article is designed to walk you through the step-by-step process of signing up using the invite link provided in the email.

Steps

Step 1: Open the mail you received for the invite and click the "Sign Up" button. In the mail, you will find other information like the user who invited you, Workspace name, Organization name and steps to proceed further.

💡 You will find the invite mail in your inbox. In case you don't find it there, kindly check your spam folder.

Step 2: Once you click on the "Sign Up" button, you will be redirected to the Decode's sign-up page. Your email id will be automatically added to the form. You will need to create a password.

After successfully adding the details, click the "Send Verification Code" button.

Step 3: Once done, you will receive a verification code in the same email ID. Please enter the code and click on the verify button.

Step 4: After successful verification, you will be directed to the sign-in page, where you can log in using the same email ID and the password you created.

Steps for Accessing Dashboard

Dashboard/Homepage is the first screen to appear when you log in to the platform; below are the steps for accessing it:

Step 1: Go to the https://getdecode.io/login

Step 2: Sign in using your email ID, Google or Microsoft single sign-on.

Step 3: Click on “Login” to sign in to Decode.

Step 4: After successful login, you will be taken to the Dashboard/Homepage of decode, which showcases your “Meetings”, “Collections”, and “Recently Accessed” media.

How to create a Team in Decode?

Using Teams in Decode, you can manage your internal groups and control access to data. Here are the steps involved in creating a Team:

Step 1: Once you log into your Decode account, you will be directed to your home page.

Step 2: One the left side of the page, you’ll find the menu bar. Click on it and you will be presented with a list of options. From there, you can select the Settings option.

Step 3: From Settings, you will be taken to the Teams tab.

Step 4: By default, your parent organization will be created. When you hover your mouse pointer over the card, you will find a "+" icon and a pencil icon. You can create a child organization by clicking on the "+" icon.

Step 5: A form will be shown and you can fill in the details to create an organization.

  • Active status: You can choose to do your organization while creating it or leave it in the inactive state and do it later.
  • Logo: You can upload the desired logo for your organization.
  • Title: You can input the name of your organization.
  • Users: You can select the users you want to add to the new organization.

Step 6: Click on the save button.

Once you click on the save button, the organization will be created and shown in the organization structure.

How to invite users

Step 1: Once you log into your Decode account, you will be navigated to your home page.

Step 2: Click on the Invite user button on the left navigation.

Step 3: On the invite user form, you can fill in the email address of the user to be invited, the role to be assigned, and the home team to which the user is to be added.

  • Admin: Has full control over the platform, including managing access and permissions.
  • Manager: Has limited access compared to the Admin, with certain restricted capabilities.
  • Viewer: Can only view content on the platform without the ability to perform any actions.
  • Auditor: Can view the content and edit with certain restricted capabilities.

You can invite multiple users at once by clicking on the "+" button on the form.

Step 4: Click on the invite button. An invite will be sent to the user via email. After accepting the invitation, the user will be added to the specified home team.

💡Note: You can now resend invite to users who were invited to Decode but hadn't signed up on the platform.

How to add ideas in Frill in Decode?

Steps

Step 1: Once you login into your Decode account, you will be directed to the dashboard.

Step 2: Locate the "What's New" button positioned at the bottom of the banner on the right side. It stands out and serves as a gateway to the latest updates and features.

Step 3: The "What's New" page will show you different sections related to the platform's latest updates, news, and features. Click on the “Ideas” option.

Step 4: Once you are on the "Ideas" page, you will find the list of ideas posted by other users. You can upvote any idea if you think it is useful for the improvement of the product.

To add your ideas click on the "+Add an Idea" button.
